New
National Sporting Organisation for Taekwondo
Welcome back to training for 2015! We hope
all members had a safe and enjoyable Christmas break, and are ready for another
year of growing and developing in Taekwondo and martial arts.
This will be an exciting year for Taekwondo
in Australia, with the merger of Taekwondo Australia into a newly recognised
National Sporting Organisation (NSO), Sports Taekwondo Australia. This means
our club and students will have access to the full breadth of services and
facilities available from the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and the
Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), as well as being affiliated with the World
Taekwondo Federation (WTF), Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) and the Oceania
Taekwondo Union (OTU).
With the merger there have been some small
changes in registration and insurance fees (the last increase was 3 years ago),
which will still include personal accident insurance and income protection for all members. A WTF membership card will also be issued with every
registration, along with a new STA uniform badge.
*Please refer to the new registration fees
schedule below, and please note that insurance coverage will not commence until
registration is paid and processed.
